This committee is responsible for arranging a luncheon honoring the local area commanders. The luncheon is held in conjunction with The Chamber’s “Celebrate America’s Military Week.” Committee members are responsible for identifying the commanders to be invited, helping to identify a speaker, providing table hosts and escorts for the commanders.

This committee is responsible for selecting the recipients of the Sam J. Riklin Rotary Diploma Plus Scholarship. D+ scholarships are awarded to at-risk and financially disadvantaged high school students to encourage them to graduate. Committee members will coordinate with schools to distribute and collect completed applications. Members will then evaluate applications and choose recipients. Members will coordinate with schools and students to have students present for an awards ceremony. Members will coordinate with the Rotary office on the administration of the scholarships.

Don Strange Ranch Party

This committee is responsible for soliciting donations for the Balloon Pop, Wine Pull and Live auction at the annual Diploma Plus fundraising event at the Don Strange Ranch as well as selling tickets for the Unlimited Possibilites Raffle. Committee members solicit donations through letters, phone calls and personal pleas. Committee members help set up, run and tear down the night of the event.

This committee is responsible for organizing the fundraising awards dinner held the night before the US Army All-American Bowl Game. Committee members are responsible for table sales, ticket sales, parent relations, marketing, hosting, programs, dinner seating and event volunteers. Subcommittees are formed for each aspect of the event.

Kingdom for Kids

This committee is responsible for building playgrounds in needy areas of the city.
Committee members select the site, raise funds, recruit volunteers and build the playground in a two-day hands-on service project.

Norman Vestal Scholarship

This committee is responsible for awarding agribusiness scholarships. Committee members will distribute and review applications and select recipients of the scholarship. The scholarship is named for long-time Rotarian Norman Vestal who was a key figure in San Antonio agribusiness.

The Committee is responsible for promoting the award to the San Antonio Community. The award, sponsored by the Rotary Club of San Antonio, honors outstanding young San Antonians who exemplify the Rotary philosophy of "Service Above Self" by making exceptional contributions to the communities in the San Antonio metropolitan area. Past recipients of this award include: Bexar County Judge Nelson Wolff, former Mayor Henry Cisneros, former Bexar County Judge Cyndi Taylor Krier, Cavender Auto Family's Rick Cavender, NBA Champion Spurs David Robinson and Tim Duncan, Chief Justice Wallace Jefferson, television news anchor Leslie Mouton, Olympic Gold Medalist Josh Davis, cardiologist Fernando Lopez, MD, and Rackspace CEO Lanham Napier.
