Family of Rotary News
Congratulations to Carla Riedl on the birth of her second child. Quentin Anthony Riedl was born Nov 15.
Thanks to Gordon Dunkley for passing along this picture. It’s Scott Rote’s son Mikal who is in the Navy and was onboard the USS New York during it’s commissioning. Though hard to see, Mikal is the third from the left.
From the official USS NY website:
“USS NEW YORK (LPD-21) has a special mission in the war on terror.
Her bow, forged from steel salvaged from the wreckage of the World Trade Center, embodies the strength and determination of the people of the United States: to recover, to rally, to take the fight to the enemy.”

Need a Summer Intern?
Students at KIPP University Prep are required to intern before they graduate to help them develop professional skills and a professional resume.
Our club is partnering with KIPP to help provide companies and organizations to help these students get exposure to real life work situations.
The students will be between 15 and 16 years of age and will work between 12-18 hours per week. The organization can, but is not required, to provide a monetary stipend.
If you are interested in a summer intern through this program, please contact the Rotary office for complete details.
