Gen (Ret) Russell Davis Who were the Tuskegee Airmen? The Tuskegee Airmen were dedicated, determined young men who enlisted to become America's first black military airmen. They came from every section of the country, with large numbers coming from New York City, Washington, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia & Detroit. Party goers put on their best 50’s finery and spent the evening dancing the night away. Food drink were provided by Don Strange Catering and music was provided by the Rick Cavender Band. Proceeds from this event went to the Sam J. Riklin Rotary Diploma Plus Program, a dropout prevention program for high school seniors.  View  Museum Reach River Barge Social Mar 23, 2010 Rotarians and their family and friends enjoyed an evening of fun while cruising the new Museum Reach Expansion of the San Antonio Riverwalk. The evening started with great food at the El Tropicano Hotel and then a leisurely cruise down the river.  View  U40 2010 Class Introductions Mar 10, 2010 Each year, the Rotary Club of San Antonio recruits and develops new Rotarians under the age of 40, bringing them into the club together as a class once a year. You can certainly see how these projects benefit the community. We were supported by this community, by this parish, by our corporate volunteers, by our friends in food services, by our Rotarians & by City Year! When we left Saturday after the ribbon cutting ceremony, we were proud upon the completion of two state of the art play grounds & a new basketball court.
