Lou Miller

President

2011-2012

Dear Rotarians,

It is my honor and privilege to be elected as the 100th President of the Rotary Club of San Antonio.  This year’s international theme is “Reach Within to Embrace Humanity”.  What a profound mission and challenge for my year of serving you.  This year’s theme requires that we look inside of our hearts and minds to enhance the quality of life for this world.

As we enter our centennial year, we will increase membership of our club by 100 Rotarians.  It is my prayer that you will accept the challenge to bring 6 guests to our outstanding weekly programs over the next 12 months.  We believe that this exposure will result in an increased understanding of what it means to be a Rotarian.  The membership committee has an outstanding plan of action that needs your participation to implement and to succeed.

Did I mention outstanding programs?  Some of us are only exposed to the Rotary experience during our weekly program.  With your input, we will invite the most entertaining, informative and inspirational presenters that we can find.

Only you can help us maintain the relevance of Rotary.  We need you to next work with a “Newby”, embrace an existing member, support Rotary Foundations, and our programs.

We are “this close” to ending polio.  Help by visiting http://www.rotary.org/en/EndPolio/Pages/ridefault.aspx.  Please sign up at www.rotary.org for weekly updates reinforcing the relevance of Rotary to humanity and to you.

We have noticed an increase in the quality of New Rotarians.  We believe that our club can increase service to our community through increased strength.  A special thanks to President Ben Brewer, his Board and the undying work of our club’s staff.

From henceforth, get involved, get committed, get acquainted and let’s get busy. Let’s not be afraid to fail, let’s be afraid of not trying.

This club belongs to you.

I Remain Yours,

Lou Miller

Centennial President 2011-2012
