What Any Baby Can had to say...
Special thanks to our U40 2010 Class for arranging a very special service project at Morgan's Wonderland on Saturday, June 26.
Members of the club attended a special volunteer orientation at Morgan’s Wonderland. The orientation helped volunteers get familiar with the park and understand the special needs of its visitors. Rotary volunteers were stationed around the park and helped the visitors use the exhibits, check in, ride the train, fish in lake and find their way around.
The U40 Class also arranged to sponsor special needs individuals and their familis from Any Baby Can at Morgan's Wonderland. The sponsorship included admission to the park and a picnic lunch at the Lakeside Pavillion. Many thanks to Cox Smith for their contribution to the event and Reagan Winslow for securing the donation.
"I just wanted to thank you and your fellow Rotarians for hosting our Any Baby Can families at Morgan's Wonderland last weekend. Those who attended were so delighted to have a nice lunch provided. You made a very special day possible, as many of those families who attended would not have come otherwise. We truly appreciate your generosity! What is U40?
| The purpose of the U40 Class is to recruit and develop new Rotarians under the age of 40, bringing them into the club together as a class once a year. The U40 Program will help these new members become immediately involved in the club, establish a bond with peer members and develop them into future leaders of the Rotary Club of San Antonio |
