History of East San Antonio”

Guest Speaker:

Ivy Taylor

City Council

District 2

Councilwoman Ivy Taylor was quoted as saying “Santa came a couple of days early” during a pre-Christmas celebration of elected officials, educators and schoolchildren at the Ella Austin Community Center.  The local United Way had just won a $24.6 million federal grant to bolster children’s educational achievement and community development on the East Side, scoring the highest in the nation among applicants. Join us next week to hear how this and other exciting initiatives are coming together to benefit our entire community.
