DAUSA is an active member of VOAD: Voluntary Organization Active in Disasters and has membership on a local, Regional, State Level and National Level. Active member in Crisis Clean Up. Currently DAUSA has 30 Domestic response trailers, a rescue boat, and tractor with grappling hooks for helping our Chain Saw crews. A new Command Center can be deployed as a domestic disaster trailer and bunkhouse our team leads and is equipped with Sky Link communication system.
DAUSA also deploys TEAM leads to help train and maintain District and Rotary Zone response groups. DAUSA recently signed an MOU with the Rotary DNA-RAG: Disaster Network Assistant Rotary Action Group to work on short- and long-term recovery projects with Rotary Clubs and Districts
Wayne has been deployed out of the country four times and is a Team Lead Trainer for Disaster Aid International and has responded to over 41 domestic disasters and has logged over 8,000 volunteer hours. DAUSA currently has teams in Virginia, Florida and California working on local disasters. He is employed by Standard Safety Equipment Company, a USA-based manufacturer of high-end reusable chemical clothing. His focus is on refineries and chemical companies that use Hydrofluoric acid. He has worked there for more than 35 years and mixes Rotary with his work responsibilities as V.P. of Sales.
FUN Fact: Wayne umpired in the 75Th Little League World Series in Williamsport, PA in 2022
