Rotary U40

With over 75 Rotarians under 40, U40 brings together San Antonio’s young professionals to serve, grow, and lead. This immersive experience ensures you’re not just joining a club—you’re becoming part of a network of changemakers dedicated to service and leadership.

What is U40?

The Rotary Club of San Antonio is one of the few clubs internationally that has a dedicated affinity group whose purpose and mission is to recruit, retain, and invest in the next generation of Rotarians and service leaders. The Young Members Board (YMB) is the governing body that oversees the U40 Program and organizes programs and events for the more than 75 (1/3 of the club membership) U40 members. Whether you're looking to make an impact, grow as a leader, or connect with like-minded professionals, U40 offers the opportunities and support to help you thrive.

Join us in building a stronger community through service, leadership, and connection.

How it Works

The U40 program is an optional10 month, cohort-based program designed to help immerse new members (who are U40 eligible) in service, leadership, and club engagement. Below is a step-by-step look at what you can expect.

1
Get Started
If you qualify for the U40 program, once you join the Rotary Club of San Antonio, our Executive Director, Anne Swift, or a YMB board member will connect with you to share more about the U40 Program and answer any questions.
2
Engage, Serve, & Grow
The U40 program kicks off each fall and runs through late spring of each year. New U40 members will either be welcomed to join the existing cohort or invited to participate the following year.
3
CELEBRATE THE JOURNEY
In May, we’ll honor everything your cohort has accomplished with a graduation celebration. It’s more than just a ceremony—it’s a time to reflect on your impact, growth, and the relationships you’ve built along the way.
4
Lead the Way
Graduation isn’t the end—it’s the start of your continued impact with Rotary. As a U40 program alum, you’ll have the opportunity to join the Young Members Board to help guide future cohorts and lead other young professionals in service across San Antonio.
